“Inner Discovery for Kids”
Thursdays after school from 3:30-5:00 starting January 7

This is a class designed for kids to begin or continue exploring their inner world through meditation and journaling. Each class will focus on different tools for quieting the mind including breath work, guided imagery, stretching, visualization and simple creative art. The meditation work will be accompanied by journaling where students can reflect through drawing or writing and further enhance their self-understanding .
Studies have shown that meditation can help your child feel less stress, improve school focus, increase creativity, promote feelings of contentment and help to create foundations for inner peace that can last a lifetime.
About me:
I teach meditation for children through my Inner Discovery Camps and Workshops. I have also taught meditation classes at Brush Creek Montessori School in Santa Rosa, CA and homeschool groups. My spiritual training began when I became Reiki Master in 1998 and continues onwards. For the past 7 years I have practiced meditation, inner child work and other healing modalities. My work with kids grew out of raising my son who has Sensory Integration challenges and needing to find ways to help him fall asleep, connect with himself and accept his unique gifts. Spending time with my family and friends, songwriting, dancing, trampolining, gardening, crafting and playing outdoors are my other daily treasures.

Here are some photos of the lovely space at the Dhyana Center where I am holding my classes and workshops this summer. Reminds me of a magical playhouse with lots of room for the big imaginations of small people. The place is set back from the main house of the center and surrounded by gardens in bloom. Parents are welcome to stay and enjoy the serenity....sit on the lawn or garden chairs while the children explore within.....
